Teaching the juniors in Bishop class

Ola bloggers and welcome back to week two!

Today my class and I worked alongside Bishop class (Year 2/3) as part of a Tuakana/Teina session.

Tuakana means the people and Teina means your are the youngest brother or the sister

First we discussed how to be effective Tuakana. I learned that I have to help the little kids so they can get good like us. I can do this by helping Teina understand everything by talking clearly.

The biggest challenge I came across was helping them to understand everything.

At school we have been doing cross country and in cross country we did two laps. Also when some people did one lap Mrs Archer stopped us because we was walking but we wasn't running so we did jogging in our spot and then Mrs Archer said to go and do one more lap then we went and did one lap and then we came back.After that we lined up and we stayed there for a while and went back to school.Also when we do cross country we go on Tuesday, Wednesday and on Friday.
